Are you craving a Caribbean feel, with upbeat music and bright colors?! Then Ting Irie is what you’ve been missing. The only thing that could make this slice of Jamaica even better would be some sand in my toes and the smell of the beach.
I had the pleasure of enjoying the Friday Brunch and was pleasantly surprised by the affordable prices. The set menu is full of tropical favorites like Rice and Peas, Curry Goat and individual Rum Cakes. Honestly, I was tapping out at the main course but miraculously I found some room for the desserts!
There’s always room for dessert!
Enjoy the pics foodies!!! Sorry if it makes you hungry! 😉
The menu is full of yummies! Here’s a peek.
In order from left to right: World Famous Jamaican Patties, Oxtail Cocobread Sandwiches, Watermelon Salad, and Patty Crust Nachos.
Those are probably the best nachos I’ve ever had!!! And the coco bread!!! Yuuuuuuummmm!!
The service was amazing! They keep the drinks full and the food coming on a steady flow. After we devoured these starters the second round was sitting in front of us immediately.
Pictured from left to right: Chips O’Mon Burger, Jerk Shrimp Skewers, and Flamin Appleton Wings
You can imagine that after sampling all of this goodness everyone was in major need of a food break! Which is why we played a couple rounds of Jenga. Everyone loves Jenga! The anxieties were flying high and the neighboring table was captivated by our game. I think we might have taken over the space for a bit with our rowdiness. Finally, our tummies were ready and the main course was brought out. For a minute I felt like I was back in South Florida having a normal Caribbean dinner. I mean seriously look at this rice and that chicken!!! Yum! Just Yum!
From left to right: Spitfire Jerk Chicken, Jamaican Curry Goat, Ackee and Saltfish, Rice n’ Peas. And this is where I had to throw in the towel! Make sure to wear stretchy clothes when you hit up this brunch because you’ll definitely be nursing a food baby by the end of it.
But like I said before… there’s ALWAYS room for dessert!!! 🙂 Which is why I went in hard on the sweets… especially the French Toast… it was like heaven!!!
Desserts: Rum Cake, Cookie Butter French Toast, and Rum-Sicles
So next time you’re craving Caribbean vibes in Dubai head downtown and hit up Ting Irie! You won’t regret it!
Xoxo, Nat
